Primary Function :




  • Provide leadership and general supervision to NEX employees supporting quoting service activity.  Responsible to drive first class service that enables revenue, profitability, expense, and operating earnings targets are achieved.


Principal Duties & Responsibilities:










  • Coach Sourcing Specialist to ensure that the correct Suppliers are selected for the quote, and priced according to Pricing Tool Strategy
  • Execute and manage the Standard Work quoting process to in order to drive consistency and maximize profits.
  • Manage the productivity/efficiency and quality aspects of the quoting process with Sourcing Specialist to maximize conversion, quality and Operating Earnings.
  • Hire, manage and onboard Sourcing Specialist to ensure KPI’s (Conversion, Service Level, productivity, and quality) are met.
  • Manage and lead people to ensure high level of performance and a constant focus on customer responsiveness and service.
  • Drive employee initiative to create and promote an environment where employees are involved, empowered and committed to the success of the organization.
  • Monitor and enhance employees’ individual performance through clearly defined expectations, training, coaching and counseling to achieve or exceed required results with regard to productivity, work quality and customer service.
  • Utilize performance measurements/metrics, aging quotes, and quote quality audit in order to evaluate efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners and colleagues to ensure processes are effective while addressing the needs of the customer and the company.
  • Manage various relationships with internal customers, external partners as well as third party suppliers as needed.
  • Participate in cross functional improvement and process design initiatives/teams.


Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 3-5 years successful experience in sales, purchasing, product management, customer service or operations environment within a large organization.
  • 1-3 years previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to empower and engage employees to identify continuous process improvements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with people throughout the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

This includes activities that drive superior service, sales growth, strong customer relationships, employee development, and expense/budget management.

Maintains a strong cross functional network to ensure a personal and seamless

customer experience through multiple channels, through demonstrated leadership and

execution in the areas of talent excellence, customer service, aggressive sales growth,

and cost to serve

Work Environment:

  • Reports to Sr. Manager Sourcing Operations
  • Intermittent Travel required
  • Regularly interfaces with DSMs, DBSMs, Branch Managers, Account Managers, suppliers, Accounts Payable Managers, and Supplier Development.
