As Senior Business Analyst, you will partner with the Sourcing leadership team to solve the most challenging strategic and operational issues facing the department. You will function as an internal consultant responsible for generating insights and recommendations through analytics to influence the future strategy and operating model of the organization as we transform the way we bring value to our customers. You will report to the Manager, Sourcing Offer and Srategy and can be based in either Lake Forest, IL or downtown Chicago on a hybrid (3 days per week) basis.

Work with Sourcing leadership team and partners to understand current challenges and needs, evaluate existing processes, identify problems and opportunities for improvement, and formulate hypotheses on potential solutions

Develop measurement dashboards for core workflows, creating insights for leadership to take actions in support of operational excellence and overall quality

Partner on Sourcing offer development and positioning by providing structured data-driven analyses and discovery to evaluate hypotheses and support development of Sourcing's strategic vision

Identify and analyze information to test and further hypotheses and ensure fact-based decisions

Perform ad hoc analytics to support strategy development and operations while also communicating findings and developing recommendations to leadership

Partner across the Grainger organization at different levels to solicit voice of customer feedback to inform recommendations

Manage the department's reporting and data landscape by leading new design and implementation plans to support the oversight of operations and ensure consistency across the department.

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

3+ years of experience solving diverse and complex business problems

Experience with data warehousing systems (e.g. Teradata, SQL, etc.), SAP, PowerBI, and Microsoft suite
