Position Details:

We ask that you have holistic business understanding, systemic thinking, analytical mindset, cross functional collaboration, and strong problem-solving skills.

You will have responsibility in providing insights that help Supplier Management to prioritize work, identify opportunities and risks, and use standard tools and reports that support standard work.

You will report to the Senior Manager- Procurement Analytics and work with Supplier Management leaders to develop, establish and maintain its global procurement insights and analytics through standardization and digitalization.

You Will:

  • Develop tools that help weigh decisions, recommendations, and actions against their material impact on the bottom line
  • Collaborate and work with team member across supplier management to improve cost management, ensure reliable supply, and ignite profitable growth
  • Help to improvement standardized processes across multiple departmental projects that help guide efficiency gains for team members
  • Help with strategic planning, review, and implementation to ensure portfolio recommendation is deployed across the business
  • Use data and market insights to meet end-to-end needs across the business to improve customer and team member experience
  • Ensure new tool development enables standard work and is additive to the productivity and effectiveness of Supplier Managers

You Have:

  • BS/BA degree in engineering, technology, marketing, or business preferred. MBA preferred
  • 5+ years business experience with a working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Cost Accounting, Finance and Economics
  • SQL and PowerBI Experience, reporting and analytics background
  • Comfortable building and delivering presentations to management, staff and field audiences
  • Must understand Our business direction, customer requirements, supply management-marketing strategy, and demand generation fulfillment process
  • Experience driving and demonstrating results financially, strategically and managerially
  • Clear understanding of suppliers, customers, Grainger's strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Can apply thought process to construct executable plans
  • Clear knowledge of the negotiation process and important stages: Set expectations. Maintain relationships.
  • Change Management skills- inspiring teams to welcome change, embrace new directions, and future opportunities. Anticipate change and prepare for it by defining goals, responsibilities and time frames
