Position Details:

The Grainger Sales Accelerator Program is designed to provide a broad learning experience for recent college graduates or early in career aspirants interested in developing into a Field Account Representative role in the outside sales organization. During the program, participants are exposed to an intentional set of learning experiences, including calling on our current customer base, expanding contacts at existing customer locations, aligning the right products and solutions to meet customer needs and demonstrate Grainger’s value. Team members will have the opportunity to interact with multiple parts of the field sales organization, gain in-depth knowledge of the business, and develop relationships with leadership at every juncture. In addition, the role provides team members exposure and learning through others via our internal business organizational units such as Marketing, Merchandising, Sourcing, eComm, Inventory Management and Supplier Management.

 

The Sales Accelerator position is remote during an ~6-month duration. Upon successful completion of the program, your Grainger career will continue in an outside field sales territory where you may be required to relocate for your placement.

 

You Have:

  • Enrolled in a college or university working towards a bachelor’s degree graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
  • This role may include overnight travel (up to 15-20%)
  • Work location is remote; must have a dedicated workspace free of distractions.
  • No visa sponsorships provided now or in the future.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Open to relocation

  • Maintain account and customer contact and record follow up details in Salesforce.com.
  • Build a Plan to Win: Touch every customer, expand contacts, and sell value.
  • Work with Customer support teams to align the right products and solution to the customer.
  • Increase sales with each account while utilizing a wide array of available communication channels to maximize revenue.
  • Achieve or exceed reported metrics of daily calls and customer face time interactions.
