As Senior Event Planner you will implement the strategies & tactics necessary to maximize participation and return on investment of national, regional and yey internal meetings, including: Grainger Show, NSSM, Regional Customer Shows, PIP and others they are assigned. You will report to the Director, Meetings

You Will

  • Lead the large and more complex events for Grainger.
  • Direct responsibility for meeting/event planning and execution from the point of assignment through to onsite program management if necessary
  • Maintain budgets during planning and prepare final reconciled budgets
  • Communicate budgetary information to Business Partners throughout the planning and execution of meeting.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality and integrity when negotiating with suppliers and working with team members
  • Meet all deadlines, turnaround timelines
  • Determine and arrange detailed program needs
  • Provide on-site program assistance if needed; oversee all arranged details of program.
  • Monitor and review supplier billing and ensure payment and reconciliation

You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Operations or Management or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 or more years of large event management experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and creative capabilities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills & ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience establishing productive relationships with the field and headquarters employees.
  • Experience with virtual or hybrid events is preferred
