Position Details

As a Senior Global Supply Chain Analyst Network you will partner with multiple Supply Chain functions to gather inputs, criteria, and desired outcomes to deliver analytics and recommendations used to make short, medium and long-term distribution network investment decisions and service changes. Investment decisions include new distribution centers, expansions of existing sites, renovations and improvements to existing buildings, enhancements to order routing logic or changes or creation of services and capabilities. You will do this by facilitating cross-functional discussions with key stakeholders include DC Operations, Transportation, Inventory Management, Finance, Real Estate, and customer-facing teams to ensure analytics combined with business context guide decisions that support the design and operational execution of the DC network. You will be a key member of the Network Strategy team and report to the Senior Manager, Engineering Design. The position is Hybrid requiring 50% of time onsite at either the Lake Forest, IL headquarters or downtown Chicago, IL Merchandise Mart location.

 

You Will

  • Develop flexible, scalable network models and tools to understand, predict and improve logistics operations, architecture, flows and processes.
  • Articulate the cost and service impacts strategic initiatives/projects will have on the supply chain network.
  • Organize and manage projects to deliver scalable business processes to improve service or reduce costs.
  • Develop communication plans & strategies to manage stakeholders and update the business on key network design initiatives and trends.
  • Identify data needed and identify patterns, anomalies and connect them to business to create a “story“ and sell ideas.
  • Collaborate with teams across the supply chain to identify network improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and design reporting and metrics to support business and project priorities.

You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience in more than one of the following areas: network modeling, transportation, distribution operations, inventory planning, or supply chain/business analytics is preferred
  • Experience working with large datasets (up to 100M lines). Demonstrated success at summarizing, identifying patterns and connecting data to drive business results.
  • Leverages financial, quantitative, and qualitative data to make decisions.
  • Familiarity with or aptitude and interesting in learning R, SQL, Teradata, Tableau, and Snowflake with ability to navigate data through script writing and data visualization.
  • Proficiency with tools and techniques needed to efficiently cleanse and summarize data using Microsoft 365 products required.
  • Demonstrated creative and strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with and managing a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver business results.
