Position Details: 

 This is a Manager. Facilities, Systems, and Technology (Branch) role.  You will report to Sr. Mgr. Facilities, Systems, and Technology (Branch) and this role can be based in Lake Forest, IL or at a Grainger Distribution Center. 

 
You Will: 

  • Collaborate in the planning, implementation, and deployment of systems and equipment initiatives within the network 

  • Support the development and implementation of facility management programs including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements. 

  • Help in the review of facility budgets, contracts, and service agreements. 

  • Act as network liaison on systems enhancements and upgrade requirements 

  • Help in the evaluation of new technologies intended to improve supply chain processes and performance. 

  • Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to ensure successful deployment and integration. 

  • Monitor technology trends and advancements to keep the organization at the forefront of industry innovation. 

  • Provide project support and expertise related to work targeting building design, optimization, and functionality  

  • Support in the identification, collection, and preparation of relevant data and key performance indicators in all areas of responsibility 

  • Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and strategic initiatives. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. 

 

  

 
You Have:   

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management, systems integration, and technology implementation within operations. 

  • Strong knowledge of systems and technologies, including WMS and automation solutions. 

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading large-scale initiatives. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

  • Ability to present complex technical information to a non-technical audience and can communicate to all levels within the company.  

  • Proven ability to effectively adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.
