Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $112,900.00$188,100.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 15 % or $ , based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details
The Manager, Digital & Mid-Sized Customers develops insights, recommendations and execution plans that support Grainger's digital-first and mid-sized customer growth strategy. This role uses customer, market, digital, commercial, and financial data to identify opportunities to improve revenue growth, profitability, margin, retention, and customer experience for digital-first and mid-sized customers.
 
The Manager leads defined workstreams within the mid-sized customer roadmap, including research, analysis, recommendation development, test design, and implementation planning. This role develops recommends and supports execution on actions related to pricing, assortment, digital experience, service model, and commercial capabilities, and escalates tradeoffs that require broader prioritization or investment decisions.
 
This is a hybrid position that is based in Lake Forest or Chicago 3 days a week.
 
You will report to the Vice President, Digital & Mid-Sized Customers.
 
You Will
  • Conduct customer, market, competitive, digital, and financial analysis to identify growth opportunities within digital-first and mid-sized customer.
  • Translate customer insights into recommendations for offer improvements across pricing, assortment, digital experience, service model, and commercial capabilities.
  • Build business cases for defined initiatives, including expected impact on revenue, margin, retention, customer behavior, and return on investment.
  • Design test-and-learn plans for assigned growth opportunities, including hypotheses, customer populations, success metrics, execution requirements, and measurement approach.
  • Monitor performance of assigned initiatives and identify actions needed to improve customer and financial outcomes.
  • Create materials that explain the customer problem, business opportunity, proposed action, expected impact, and decision needed.
  • Coordinate implementation details with Sales, Marketing, Merchandising, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, and Analytics teams for assigned initiatives.
  • Identify barriers to execution within assigned workstreams and escalate decisions related to funding, sequencing, resourcing, prioritization or ownership.
 
You Have
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in customer strategy, digital strategy, growth strategy, go-to-market strategy, commercial strategy, consulting, analytics, marketing, sales strategy, merchandising, or related business roles required. required
  • Experience using customer, market, digital, operational, or financial data to develop insights and recommendations.
  • Experience translating strategies into tactics that improve revenue growth, profitability, customer engagement, retention, or customer experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization to support execution of strategic initiatives and business priorities.
  • Experience developing business cases, conducting analysis, and creating presentations, dashboards, and business communications that support decision-making and test-and-learn initiatives.
