Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Installing and configuring Windows 2008/2012/R2/2016 servers, in-place upgrades on both Physical and Virtual machines to ensure server compliance as a part of the upgrade/build process; Setup and configure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, RDS, File, IIS Server, SQL Server, FTP in a windows-based server environment. Performing daily backup tasks and maintaining backup data for disaster recovery. Administer and maintain on-prem and cloud platforms such as VMWare vSphere, Nutanix Prism Central/Prism Element and AWS; Analyze, identify, and troubleshoot issues and perform updates/upgrades; Performed migrations from VMware to Nutanix HCI Infrastructure; Plan and built new clusters in Nutanix and performed VM migrations without impacting business. Install and Configure HP C7000 Blade Enclosure, Cisco UCS 5100 Blade enclosure, Dell PowerEdge FX2 Chassis; Expertise in Chassis virtual connect configuration, blade profiles, setting up network access groups, SAN fabrics; Support and Maintain Server related Hardware, recommending future upgrades, design changes, resource management, commission & decommission procedures. Automate server deployments using tools such as Terraform, ansible, collaborate with engineering to maintain and update code in GitHub/bitbucket repository; Automate recurring windows, vmware, nutanix tasks using powershell, powercli to maintain infrastructure standards and compliance; Automate and improve processes to ensure the right solutions are delivered on stable systems. Being a technical resource for direct communications to team members in the project development, testing and implementation processes; Conferring with project team and customer about system design and maintenance as well as to obtain information on project scope, limitations, capabilities, requirements and project status updates; and Documenting modifications and enhancements made to the applications as required by the project. 100% remote work allowed from anywhere in the U.S. Please submit resume to https://jobs.grainger.com, reference job #309534.
