PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and consolidating a defined portion of the reporting portfolio that supports Product Information operations and decision-making. This role ensures reporting outputs are accurate, trusted, and aligned to governed performance metrics, while influencing standards and continuous improvement across the reporting portfolio. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst translates ambiguous business questions into clear analytical problems and consumable insights through data visualization and storytelling, enabling faster issue detection and more confident decisions across PI leveraging modern analytics tools and AI-enabled capabilities.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clarify business needs, challenge assumptions, shape requirements, and translate end-to-end impact into scalable analytic products that drive actionable insights and decisions.
- Continuously enhance existing reporting assets, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and alignment to evolving business metrics and standards.
- Support break/fix and ad hoc requests while improving efficiency and reducing maintenance costs through optimized reporting design.
- Monitor reporting usage, performance, and underlying processes to identify issues, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve process performance.
- Consolidate and simplify the reporting portfolio by identifying redundancies, designing flexible user experiences, and retiring low-value or overlapping tools.
- Apply defined reporting standards, business definitions, and governance approaches to simplify processes, improve data quality, and increase first-pass yield.
- Document reporting logic, data sources, and assumptions to improve transparency, reuse, and long-term maintainability.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate data analysis, support data validation, and reduce manual effort in reporting and insight generation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Analytics, Business, or related field; or equivalent experience is required.
- 3+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or analytics development is required.
- Experience in maintaining and enhancing dashboards or reporting solutions in a production environment, and working with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data-driven solutions is required.
