Position Details:

Pricing Analysts provide pricing leadership and decision making support to the GIS Pricing, Sales and Marketing organizations. You will provide analysis to leadership assisting those leaders to understand the drivers of pricing decisions. You will help improve competitive pricing intelligence, conduct detailed cost and price analysis, and guide the implementation of pricing decisions. Working under the Manager/Sr Manager, Pricing Strategy, you will help improve competitive medium program pricing, conduct detailed audit & compliance work and guides the implementation of pricing decisions. You will work in close collaboration with other parts of the organization including Merchandising, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.


You will report to the Manager or Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy.

 

You Will:

  • Work with Pricing vendor and further enhance Grainger's competitive pricing intelligence
  • Develop pricing models to analyze the potential primary pricing strategies and price opportunities
  • Test, analyzing and optimizing pricing strategies, programs and tactics
  • Conduct weekly audits for different pricing programs to ensure contractual compliance and report findings to leadership
  • Provide accurate pricing and profitability analysis to help guide decisions
  • Analyze market pricing information and providing insights to leadership
  • Partner with Pricing Analytics team to develop reliable forecasting models and program performance metrics
  • Develop post analysis and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Develop reporting and pricing tools to allow field (Sales/Customer Service) to better communicate pricing issues to the customer

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1+ years or school experience
  • Proficiency with information systems, including SQL, Teradata, SAP. SAS and SPSS knowledge a plus
  • Good financial and analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of business strategies including customer requirements, Supply Chain strategies, product information strategies and marketing strategies
  • Experience developing financial/pricing analysis and implementing changes based on analysis
  • Ability to manage detailed projects and processes within defined timeframe
