Position Details:

As a Customer Information Researcher, you will use standardized research processes to enhance Grainger's understanding of our customers. You will work with Customer Information Analysts, Process Engineers, Technology Developers, and Business Leaders to eliminate process waste, leverage scale opportunities, improve activities, and automate routine work. By making relevant customer information available, we help Grainger market, sell, and deliver the best products and solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will develop an understanding of the US MRO market – what customers exist in which industries, and how attractive are they to Grainger?


You Will:

  • You will report to Wilson Sun - Sr. Manager, Customer Information Research.
  • You will curate and supplement customer information through online research with an emphasis on identifying qualified prospects and segmenting Grainger's current customers
  • You will contribute to development and continuous improvement of standard research processes & conduct online research on customers to confirm which industry a location is in
  • You will contribute to quantitative analysis write SQL and conduct exploratory data analysis.


You Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years post-undergraduate experience
  • Experience working with data and data tools - basic data visualization and analysis using MSExcel, PowerBI, SQL, and Python
