Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $103,600.00$172,600.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 15 % or $ , based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details

The Channel Merchandising Manager is responsible for translating category strategy into an effective digital and print customer experience. This role leads the execution of merchandising initiatives, including assortment changes, product organization, navigation, filters, product presentation, and content. Working across multiple teams, the Channel Merchandising Manager drives alignment, prioritization, and execution to improve product discovery, customer experience, and category performance.
 
You will report to the Senior Manager, Merchant.
 
This is a hybrid position that is based onsite in Lake Forest or Chicago 3 days a week.



You Will

  • Lead the execution of category strategies across digital and print experiences, including assortment changes, product organization, navigation, filters, product tables, visual content, and product information
  • Use voice of customer, interaction, and performance data to identify opportunities, prioritize work, measure results, and continuously improve confident product selection and the customer experience
  • Lead and coordinate merchandising partners across Product Information, Search, Visual Content, Publishing, Content Strategy, and other teams to translate category strategies into clear priorities and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
  • Drive cross-functional execution by establishing priorities, managing dependencies, resolving barriers, and holding teams accountable for delivering high-impact merchandising initiatives.
  • Develop deep expertise in Grainger merchandising tools and capabilities, using technology and data to improve execution, identify opportunities, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Challenge the status quo, promote change, navigate uncertainty, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth and expand market share.

 

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technology, science, marketing, logistics, business, or relevant field. required
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial product management, merchandising, marketing, new product development, or technical sales, required required
  • Experience coordinating priorities and execution across Product Information, Publishing, technology, or comparable business partners.
  • Experience using data and analytical tools to evaluate merchandising opportunities and support decisions.
  • Experience executing merchandising, assortment, product content, or customer experience initiatives across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience identifying opportunities to improve merchandising processes, challenge existing approaches, and implement solutions that improve execution or customer experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, MRO products, customers, and related industry considerations.
