HR Intern

Zoro is offering one paid internship in our HR Department for Summer of 2019.

This is a full-time opportunity and will start early June until late August. The start/end dates can be flexible based on your semester schedule.

 

The HR Intern will assist the HR team with a wide range of projects including: training and development, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, and orientation and onboarding. The intern will be exposed to several core competencies within the Human Resources function. The Intern will work with managers and employees at all levels in the company.  The internship is intended to be educational, and give the intern a better understanding of the role Human Resources plays in a business.

 

Our team is small and uncharacteristically friendly and personable. A Zoro Intern becomes a part of the Zoro family and is fully embraced by the team on day 1. The intern should expect to not only contribute to work that actually matters but that is critical to the strategic direction of the company and growth of the brand. Qualifications

We realize that many students do not have deep exposure to much of what we do. Our ideal intern should show interest and aptitude – not necessarily mastery of specific concepts. Preferably, our HR Intern will be entering his or her Senior Year with exposure to any of the following:

 

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in HR or equivalent field.
  • Exposure to any of the following: Recruitment, Training & Development, Orientation & Onboarding, Policy administration, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
