Warehouse Associate, Zoro Tools Part Time

A day in the life of a Warehouse Associate:

  • Accurately receives and unloads product and effectively sorts, processes and performs putaway of product

  • Accurately pick and prepares orders to meet shipping cutoff times and processes orders according to all regulatory standards

  • Repack and work cross-dock functions

  • Processes customer returns based on disposition rules , referencing original order documents,

  • Prepares  hazmat orders in accordance with all Department of Transportation and company requirements

  • Prepares and runs  various reports in warehouse system as needed 

  • Works closely with internal Logistics team members related to Return Processing and cross-dock functions

  • Performs counts to ensure receiving and shipping accuracy

  • Performs quality alignment as necessary for  “return to vendor” shipping  

  • Assists in conducting  daily power equipment inspection to ensure safe operation of equipment, safe work environment for employees and compliance with all OSHA and company regulations

  • Maintains and monitors shipping supplies.

  • Warehouse housekeeping – trash collection/disposal, organize workspace areas

  • Actively participates in all regulatory training (Hazmat,  Forklift and Safety) and other company initiatives

  • Provide back-up support to other warehouse areas and functions during peak service times

  • Other duties as assigned


To be successful in this role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 year warehouse / material handling experience preferred

  • Able to operate computerized scanning equipment and PC based programs

  • Able to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision

  • Responsible, punctual, and flexible to a dynamic and exciting work environment

  • Is aware of own strengths and weaknesses, is open to developmental feedback and takes responsibility for personal development, Good Attitude

  • Ability to work directly with internal departmental team members This position utilizes both manual and power material handling equipment to perform job functions, such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

  • Must  be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance

  • Majority of time is spent standing and walking

  • Ability to climb, bend, squat, reach, grasp and lift

  • Ability to work weekends as needed
