Position Description

Data Science application areas span across Recommender Systems, Semantic Search Applications, Resource Optimization Solutions, etc. Projects often encompass research, design, coding, testing, scaling and implementation.

Senior / Lead Data Scientists help develop dynamic solutions using statistical, machine learning and deep learning methodologies. They are responsible for development of one or more solution components and are expected to lead work streams and projects with minimal supervision.

  • Transform data into actionable insights and recommendations. Present clear and concise results (70%)
    • Take on large, complex tasks and execute with minimal guidance
    • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods.
    • Develop and validate algorithms and models.
    • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and contribute to solution development process (20%)
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members (10%)

Position Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in related field or at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Data Science.
  • Experience in usage of Statistical and Machine Learning algorithms - Regression, Decision Trees, Ensemble, Bayesian, Clustering etc. (any 3).
  • Proficient with Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Neural Networks / Deep Learning / Natural Language Processing (NLP). Proficiency preferred.
  • Experience in NLP applications is a plus
  • Optional (some familiarity in one or two of these areas may be relevant needed depending on the project we are hiring for at the time)
    • Query languages such as Hive, Pig, SQL, Spark
    • REST API’s to leverage disparate data sources
  • Scripting / programming skills: Java, C++ etc.
  • Masters or PhD in Data Science / Advanced Analytics with 3+ years relevant experience preferred.
