Position Details:

As an Executive Recruiter for our Global Executive Recruitment team, you will support critical roles at the Director and VP level across the Grainger enterprise. This will include developing targeted sourcing strategies to bring top executive talent to our organization. Success will be propelled by your ability to network, conduct tenacious searches and display a high sourcing IQ. You will understand organizational/candidate fit and how to pitch our fantastic career opportunities to score the talent necessary to propel our growing businesses.

You will report to the Manager of Global Executive Recruitment, and will partner in an advisory capacity with Human Resource Managers and Executive Hiring Leaders in a matrixed environment. You can work from home often, but are able to visit the office for important meetings.

You Will:

  • Calibrate on new open positions with intake discussions and create a search strategy including candidate profiles and sourcing plans.
  • Fully manage executive roles in all areas of the business. Develop trusted relationships with senior leaders across the enterprise and create a white glove experience for executive candidates.
  • Build candidate generation and sourcing strategies.
  • Help hiring leaders and HR managers understand the market landscape and competition in different markets/disciplines by sharing insights on talent demographics and competitive intelligence.
  • Improve workflow efficiency and recruiting processes, by sharing best practices in sourcing, and new recruiting tools and methodologies.
  • Grow and cultivate an extended network of professional contacts to help identify and source qualified pipeline candidates.
  • Build a pipeline of talent, including directly sourcing candidates, with an emphasis on diversity.
  • Maintain knowledge of compensation offerings, benefits, complex salary structures and long-term incentive plans for potential candidates.
  • Negotiate complex compensation packages to close candidates, and provide information to differentiate Grainger using our Value Proposition.

You Have:

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in full-cycle recruiting/sourcing, including experience with executive level recruitment.
  • Prior tech/digital recruiting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Expert level of knowledge in all sourcing components including qualifying candidates, networking, job analysis, salary trends and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory compliance and local employment law.
  • Experience building credibility with hiring managers and using external talent market knowledge to advise on talent strategy.
  • Proficiency using common desktop applications, social media and ATS (MS Teams, SuccessFactors, LinkedIn).
  • Willingness to travel to Strategic Alliance Job Fairs 1-2 times per year.
