You Will

The Driver at E&R Industrial performs warehouse duties and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, and shipping in accordance to standard operating procedures and safe work practices, and general housekeeping to provide a safe and clean work environment. You will drive a 26ft box truck every day.

  • Unloads trailers using material handling equipment.
  • Stocks merchandise in appropriate locations.
  • Minimize the creation of multiple locations.
  • Maintain best routes for deliveries ·
  • Comply with DOT regulations regarding the handling and shipping of Hazardous Material.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean, safe working environment and truck and trailer.
  • Packs merchandise to ensure protection and compliance with Hazardous Material regulations.
  • Select the most economical method of routing to maximize service and minimize freight costs.
  • Pick items from designated locations using picking tickets and other reports.
  • Provide customer service backup picking will-call and counter orders when needed.
  • Stages merchandise and completes necessary documents.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and minimize multiple locations through the use of computerized scanning equipment and other inventory maintenance reports.
  • Participate in E&R's quality initiative and support continuous improvement.

You Have

  • 3 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment.
  • Experience with computerized scanning equipment and PC based programs.
  • Ability to follow instructions independently.
  • Takes responsibility for personal development.
  • Remains certified in local Transportation regulations and other Company requirements.
