Position Details:

As a manager of the Threat and Vulnerability Management team, you will lead a team of expert analysts that protect Grainger information assets by developing and deploying sustainable vulnerability management processes, analyzing, and acting on external threat intelligence. This role will report to the Director of the Attack Surface Management team in Grainger Information Security Group.

 

Compensation:

This position is salaried and will pay between 115,260.00 to 176,970.00 with a target bonus of 15%.

The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to: a candidate's experience, qualifications, geographical area, and internal equity of the team.

 

You Will:

  • Lead a team of threat and vulnerability management analysts in protecting confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Grainger information assets by minimizing the number of vulnerabilities in its systems, as well as identifying and mitigating external threats
  • Oversee activities including vulnerability scanning, web and application vulnerability management, attack surface management, threat intelligence management, and remediation
  • Create, and automate workflows that enable vulnerability and systems management at scale
  • Assure accurate reporting of key threat and vulnerability management metrics to Grainger leadership and other partners
  • Collaborate with partner teams in establishing scalable processes for vulnerability and asset prioritization based on available risk and threat data
  • Work with vendors to optimize Grainger’s investment in vulnerability management and threat intelligence management tools
  • Contribute to the systems hardening efforts at Grainger by providing security best practices recommendations

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related degree, or equivalent job experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Security Management and People Management
  • 5 or more years required of combined IT and security work experience with a broad exposure to infrastructure/network and multi-platform environments
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of information security concepts
  • Prioritize and implement tasks for self and team members
  • Familiarity with common vulnerability scanning tools
  • Understand Threat Intelligence collection and usage processes
