Position Details:

We are looking for an experienced lead Data Engineer to join our growing team of analytics experts. You will lead the Data Visualization platforms, providing solutions that provide valuable insight to our organization, educating our users about self-service capabilities and best practices. You are comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. You will be excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our BI architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.

 

You Will:

  • Be a lead for Data Engineers to manage our BI infrastructure – Tableau, Power BI and Business Objects
  • Work with partners including the Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data, system related technical issues and support the data infrastructure needs.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to work toward greater functionality in our BI space
  • Work with Data Architects in redesign our current BI architecture to support our next generation BI tools
  • Monitor key system/server related metrics to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
  • You will conduct office hours, enablement series and educating users on latest trends and best practices in business intelligence and share knowledge and insights with the team and the wider organization.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

 

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role
  • Advanced working SQL experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) and working familiarity with a variety of databases.
  • Solid experience with the administration/operations of Business Intelligence (BI) applications with server-based components, e.g. Power BI Gateway, Tableau, BOBJ
  • Technical skills, with experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or BOBJ.
  • Knowledge of Python, or other programming languages used in data analysis is a must.
  • Hands-on experience on cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, DBT and Airflow
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Experience supporting with cross-functional teams
