Position Details
The Human Resource Generalist serves as a Business Partner to the Grainger Patterson, California Distribution Center directly guiding team members and other members of leadership. Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Generalist translates human capital effects to support our goals such as change management projects, talent development, engagement, and performance management. This position will require daily presence on-site Monday through Thursday at the Patterson, California Distribution Center working overnight hours to support our overnight team.
Compensation
This position is salaried and will pay between $82,620.00 - $126,480.00 and will include an annual cash bonus of 5% as well as a shift differential compensation. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidates experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
You Will
- Facilitate programs and implementing process improvements within Human Resources and across the Distribution Center.
- Handle all on going people-related projects.
- Implement Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs, which support our strategy.
- Identify ways to improve resources to provide efficient structure to our organization
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation related to all human resources matters.
- Manage vendors to administer employee programs.
- Help with the implementation and administration of communication plans.
- Help administer the workers compensation program for the facility.
You Have
- BA/BS or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in related field.
- A degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent progressive experience.
- Working knowledge of Human Resource practices with expertise in staffing, new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Experience solving human resources issues.
- Manage confidential information.
- Diagnose problems, develop alternative solutions, and recommend and implement a course of action.
- Proficiency in systems, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Publisher and PowerPoint and Outlook.
