Position Details:

Reporting to the Sr Manager, E&R Field Services, the Operations Manager is responsible for all related activities supporting the execution of operational services (warehousing, Keepstock, onsite, customer specific) within an assigned market. Manage operational activities focused on driving high customer satisfaction. Lead service activities to be viewed as the customer’s first choice by managing vender managed inventory, warehousing, and delivery services. Build solid internal and external partnerships supporting best practice to exceed customer expectations.

You Will:

  • Execute warehouse and delivery related activities for specific E&R branch or branches.
  • Lead a staff comprised of hourly team members covering warehouse, driver, bin-fill, and on-site roles.
  • Understand local market requirements and plans/schedules meeting the commitment and expectation of customers.
  • Oversee the management of branch-based inventory including process to validate inventory accuracy and disposition of inventory following company plans and policies.
  • Collaborate with the inventory management function ensuring local inventory levels are adjusted based on customer requirements and demand.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA. DOT, EPA regulations including the handling of HAZMAT.
  • Creates an environment that encourages open, continuous, and communication promoting a culture that values diverse thoughts and ideas.

You Have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience using a warehouse management system.
  • Experience building strong partnerships.
  • Demonstrated agility to adapt to changing demands with customers and E&R / Grainger.
  • Warehouse environment with power industrial equipment
  • Use and understand warehouse management system.
  • Travel is required – 30%+ travel to multiple customer sites and branch locations throughout the region.
  • Responsible for company vehicle(s), vending equipment functionality, and warehouse powered equipment
