Job Summary:

The Grainger Business Unit Sales accelerator program is designed to provide recent college graduates or early in career aspirants a broad and well-rounded learning experience.

The program consists of an embarkation and challenging rotational assignments and experiences within the Sales & Services function. The rotations provide the opportunity to work in various facets of the sales organization, gain in depth knowledge of the business and develop relationships with senior leaders at every juncture. Each rotation will provide a different and intentional set of developmental opportunities. The rotations can include but are not limited to: Inside Sales, Field Sales and project work within Sales Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, and/or Supplier Management. The duration of this program is approximately 12 months and the work location is remote.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university working towards a bachelor’s degree or have successfully completed an undergraduate degree in business, management, and/or communications preferred
  • Expected graduation between December 2021 and June 2022
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated intellectual and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Strong communication/presentation skills – oral, written, and active listening
  • High integrity in all business dealings
  • Strong time management, planning / prioritizing, and organizational skills

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven ability to enhance business knowledge or leadership skills through internships, on-campus involvement
  • Relevant work experience in customer services or sales

 

Job Requirements:

  • This role may include travel (up to 25%)
  • Full-time
  • Work location is remote; must have a dedicated workspace free of distractions
  • First shift hours, may fluctuate depending on assignments/demands
  • No visa sponsorships provided now or in the future
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Geographical flexibility to relocate for a permanent opportunity upon completion of the program
