Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $145,700.00 to $242,800.00. This role is incentive eligible.

Position Details
The Site Leader, Distribution Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for higher volume, order fulfillment, multi-shift distribution centers with 300–500 team members, while ensuring timely and accurate product receipt, on-time order fulfillment, and the optimization of resources and processes while operating within budget. The leader drives business results by translating a strategic vision into operational actions. The leader also proactively leverages data to determine trends and patterns for effective problem solving and required market shifts.
You Will
• Leads large-scale distribution center operations, overseeing both inbound and outbound logistics for facilities exceeding 1 million square feet.
• Manages significant budgets, including over $15 million in payroll expenses and more than $5 million in non-payroll costs, while identifying opportunities to reduce overall expenditures.
• Builds and maintains critical cross-functional relationships to drive improvements in customer service, asset management, and market strategies.
• Effectively communicates company strategies, including the Grainger Edge and local customer initiatives, to distribution center leaders and team members.
• Fosters a positive workplace culture where team members feel valued, engaged, and committed, reducing the need for third-party representation.
• Develops and executes strategic plans aligned with key performance indicators such as Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Engagement.
• Ensures operational consistency and compliance through the use of Standard Work Instructions, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Leads and coaches a team of 30–50 leaders, from supervisors to senior managers, using performance management tools, promoting process standardization, and sharing best practices across the distribution network.
You Have
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Operations required
• 7+ years Leadership in a Warehouse, Distribution Center or Supply Chain function required
• Demonstrated strategic and operational capabilities leading multiple levels of leadership and cross-functional teams and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive team member relations and effective cross-functional relationships across Grainger, its customers and suppliers.
• Proven ability to effectively lead and manage large-scale change.
• Proven ability to research and implement new business practices to drive operational enhancements.
• Proven continuous/process improvement capabilities (Lean or Six Sigma).
• Demonstrated ability to effectively translate the Company's strategy into operational plans and actions.
• Proven track record of leader development.
