Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $232,500.00$431,800.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 35 % or $ , based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Position Details

The Regional Vice President Branch & Distribution Operations provides leadership that optimizes the US fulfillment network (Market Distribution Centers, Bulk Warehouses, and Shipping Branches) to achieve the company's objectives and return on invested capital and ensures our fulfillment network is the industry leader in service, quality, productivity, and safety in support of larger Company objectives.

You Will

  • Lead a US region comprised of 400(+) or more Team Members conducting operations in 2 market distribution centers, 6 bulk warehouses, and 5 shipping branches.
  • Lead and develop the aligned leaders and Team Members by creating and sharing a common vision and understanding of the organization’s strategy.
  • Deliver results that achieve the company strategy and expectations; ensure operational excellence and performance across the region.
  • Accountable for aligned portion of all US DC inventory and shipments.
  • Ensure that the proper goals and objectives are set and achieved for all People, Service, Cost and Team Engagement goals in their aligned region.
  • Ensure the smooth flow of product from supplier to Branch and supplier to customer across the aligned region.
  • Ensure compliance with network standardization roadmap and sharing of best-demonstrated practices across the North American distribution center network.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement across their region as well as variation/defect rate identification to improve first pass yield consistency and efficiencies.
  • Partner with appropriate teams to ensure clear understanding of the needs of customers and the larger organization; ensure that the proper tools are developed or acquired to support the fulfillment of those needs.
  • Ensure site practices, procedures and facilities are in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and Grainger’s policies.

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Master's Degree MBA preferred
  • 7+ years senior level management experience in high volume, multi-shift, fulfillment operations with small to medium employee populations. preferred
  • 7+ years of demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive employee relations, effective relationships within and across functional boundaries and with suppliers. preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of distribution, transportation, and inventory management principles and practices with strong customer focus.
  • Ability to promote and lead change. Capable of exploring beyond traditional business practices and altering them in a positive, productive manner. Strong process improvement, problem-solving, analytical and financial management skills.
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to lead a large organization through communication of the Company’s vision and strategic direction and translating these to results oriented actions. Ability to deliver clear messages to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to travel 50% or more.
