Position Details:
The University Relations Coordinator operates independently to provide administrative support for Grainger's University Relations team. This includes support of the hiring process for internships and early career programs, management of university recruiting event logistics, and other administrative activities related to Grainger's university relations strategy. You will help build Grainger's brand with universities and grow Grainger's early career candidate pipelines.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager, University Relations and will be based in Lake Forest, IL.
You Will:
- Provide support for the University Relations team
- Manage university candidate interview scheduling, creation of candidate employment offer materials, and management of system onboarding processes for incoming hires; arrange candidate travel and process expense reimbursements
- Handle logistical preparation and coordination of recruitment events and university relations meetings
- Manage invoice payments and cost/budget tracking for engagements with target universities and vendors
- Manage the university relations Outlook inbox and calendar; maintain team shared drive and recruitment toolkit materials
- Keep inventory of university recruitment marketing materials; handle shipping of marketing materials for recruitment and other on-campus engagements; manage recruitment marketing material ordering process on a semi-annual basis
- Help with additional Talent Acquisition support projects during non-peak university recruitment seasons
You Have:
- 1+ years of relevant work experience
- BA/BS degree
- Excellent project management, event planning, budget and inventory management and facilitation skills
- Customer service experience and ability to develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with Outlook, Excel, and Smartsheets is a plus
- Experience in an environment experiencing continuous change
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using common desktop applications and social media
- Ability to lift and lower packages up to 25 pounds
- Ability to come into the office 3-4 times a week during busy season (Fall)
