Position Details
The Supply Chain Analyst partners with multiple business functions to gather inputs, criteria, and desired outcomes to deliver analytics and recommendations used during DC construction, expansion of existing sites, and improvements to existing buildings. You will work collaboratively with Network Design, DC Operations, and Inventory Management to ensure analytics from all teams guide decisions that support the design and build of the DC network. You will report to the Manager, DC Engineering Design & Optimization. This position is Hybrid requiring up to 75% travel and presence onsite at either the Lake Forest, IL headquarters or in the field at one of our 20 Distribution Centers across the United States.
Compensation
This position is exempt/salaried and will pay between $65,900 to $109,800. The position also comes with an annual bonus of 5% of base compensation. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
You Will
- Provide analytical support to the Supply Chain organization for maximizing storage and throughput capacity within our Distribution Centers.
- The analysis includes visual and data observations.
- The analysis involves stakeholder input to ensure information is captured appropriately.
- Identify and resolve constraints within physical and systematic processes.
- Timely delivery of analysis based on pre-determined timeframes.
- Demonstrate analytical and decision-making capabilities proactively and consistently – analyst needs to seek out information to validate assumptions.
- Support planning, project, and operational activities through the following activities:
- Assemble and analyze data for the current and future state to support growth and expansion.
- Communicating and partnering with multiple levels of leaders both within the DCs and other Supply Chain functions
- Provide benchmarking and best practice learnings from other projects.
- Identify opportunities for improvement on ways to optimize storage and throughput.
- Provide data and recommendations used by leadership who present to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Prepare data for leadership review to communicate to business partners at all levels as appropriate.
- Provide analytical support for planning, project management, and operational activities.
- Provide recommendations to Distribution Centers with steps to improve product flows and storage space utilization.
- Assemble and analyzes data to develop the “story”.
- Accurately identifies problems and provides recommendations for solution.
- Recommend ideas that leverage existing processes to improve speed and scale.
- Work well independently, within a team, cross-functionally, and with outside vendors.
- Work with the Distribution Centers to enhance process flow and storage efficiency.
- Provide central support for DCs during new building, expansion, and racking reconfiguration efforts.
You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Distribution, or related field
- 2+ years of related analytics experience
- Project management skills to manage resources, purchase supplies, and execute tasks within budget
- Ability to find creative solutions on small to medium size complex projects
- Partner with leaders on developing recommendations based on analytical results
- Willingness to learn and be mentored by peers & leaders
- Proficiency in Teradata, SQL, Access, Excel, Word, and Visio.
- Experience in developing and leading training sessions for tactical and strategic topics
- Up to 75% travel within Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Other international travel as necessary.
