Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $78,200.00  to $130,400.00.  This position is eligible for participation in our short-term incentive program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.

 

The range provided is not a guarantee of compensation.  The range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part, on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills.  The anticipated compensation range described above is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above. 

 

Position Details: 

The EIC (Early in Career) Senior Talent Acquisition Consultant will execute full cycle search activities to source and qualify candidates for open intern requisitions for specific business placements.  This individual will represent an established business unit and act as the strategic talent partner; providing researched recommendations on where to focus university recruitment efforts to ensure the highest return on investment. Success will be propelled by your ability to network, execute tenacious searches and pitch our fantastic career opportunities to score the best talent in the market. 

 

In an advisory capacity, you will partner with Hiring Managers, the Early in Career (EIC) Program Consultant and Human Resource Business Partners to manage multi-year talent strategies to enable EIC talent to be part of the larger business growth plan. You will report to the Manager of EIC and will be required to come into the office at least once a week, more frequently during high recruitment peaks. 

 

You Will: 

  • Conduct thorough intake discussions with Hiring Managers and offer consulting on the job market, as well as the interview and hiring process 

  • Execute full-cycle university recruitment process from point of sourcing candidates to offer decision communications; serve as the primary point-of-contact for candidates 

  • Build relationships and serve as the liaison between Grainger and career center personnel, college faculty, and student organizations at target universities; travel to university campuses during peak season to attend key events 

  • Create customized search strategy with Hiring Manager including target candidate profiles, job postings and social media marketing 

  • Share best practices in sourcing, new recruiting tools, and compare position profiles to identify common skill groups between positions, and improve workflow efficiency and recruiting processes 

  • Help hiring managers and HR managers understand the market landscape for highly sought-after skills 

  • Improve recruiting processes by sharing best practices, and new recruiting tools and methodologies with the Talent Acquisition team 

  • Lead efforts to help grow our talent pipeline through directly sourcing candidates, networking, and developing partnerships with diversity and specialty groups 

  • Maintain knowledge of compensation offerings, benefits, salary structures and long-term incentive plans for potential candidates 

  • Develop and execute on candidate generation strategies and build a pipeline of talent, including directly sourcing candidates, with an emphasis on diversity 

  • Ability to source talent via various avenues and capture leads in CRM technology 

  • Negotiate compelling offer packages to close candidates in often competitive situations 

 

You Have: 

  • Talent Acquisition experience; preferably 5 or more years as a full-cycle recruiting consultant  

  • Expertise in all sourcing methods including LinkedIn recruiter, social media, networking, and experience with diversity sourcing 

  • Exceptional stakeholder influencing capabilities with experience influencing those you don’t have direct management over

  • Knowledge of local regulatory compliance and employment law 

  • Experience building credibility with hiring managers and using market knowledge to advise on talent strategy 

  • Proficiency using an Applicant Tracking system, common desktop applications, and social media usage 

  • BA/BS degree  

  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the United States to attend career fairs, University activities and Grainger intern/rotational program events
