Position Details:
You will contribute to the development of important metrics, dashboards, databases, and tools used to inform and implement decisions across the core growth drivers for the Grainger Business Unit.
- Report for customer strategy, sales operations, and marketing teams and leadership including financial performance drivers, campaign and initiative performance, strategy and planning guidance, and execution metrics.
- You will lead important projects and partner with team leadership contributing to the development of reporting analysts.
- Customer reporting including partnership with sales and marketing leaders to develop resources in close partnership with Grainger Technology Group.
- Develop foundational analytics tools for operational excellence across important support functions.
- Perform detailed, advanced analysis to identify trends, operational issues, and exceptions to improve financial outcomes, customer experience, and company performance.
- Collaborate with team members across the enterprise to share best practices regarding reporting and analytics.
- Engage with Sr. Managers and Directors in providing reporting to influence strategic decisions for the organization.
You Will:
- Collaborate with business partners to define reporting requirements.
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality reporting to key stakeholders.
- Translate data and results into insights that drive positive business impact.
- Produce accurate reports for internal and external partners and customers for their use in making informed strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, enhance, engineer, and re-engineer complex reporting processes and data systems.
- Correlate multiple metrics and structure data to develop and share a complete story of performance results.
- Responsible for daily maintenance of reports to ensure information is accurate and updated in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the CSM strategy and how reporting and analytics supports those efforts.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of experience in related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Excel and PowerPoint especially
- Experience writing SQL, Snowflake, Teradata, Business Intelligence Tools (Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Tableau), and other relational database environments/data visualization tools
- Self-directed with accountability to make sound decisions
