Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $71,800.00  to $119,600.00.

Position Details
The IOC Consultant serves as the operational lead for Grainger’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs) program execution, playing a critical role in advancing enterprise inclusion, opportunity and community goals. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of IOC, this role supports BRG leaders and internal stakeholders by driving project management excellence, process consistency, and initiative alignment. The IOC Consultant ensures that BRG activities are executed effectively and in partnership with the IOC team. This position has additional responsibilities managing volunteerism events.

You Will

•    Serve as the primary operations lead for overseeing leadership transitions, project tracking, process documentation, and initiative reporting.
•    Manage the intake, preparation, and tracking of BRG initiative proposals to ensure alignment with defined parameters and readiness for senior leader review.
•    Maintain and manage accurate records and dashboards for BRG calendars, initiative metrics, budget utilization, Plan on a Page progress, and volunteer activities.
•    Provide logistical and administrative support for BRG-led programs, ensuring documentation, evaluation, and consistency in execution.
•    Support BRG core teams in understanding and executing their responsibilities, including programming alignment, communication protocols, and cross-functional collaboration.
•    Collaborate with the Inclusion, Opportunity and Community team to integrate BRG volunteer and educational efforts into broader IOC initiatives.
•    Coordinate internal communications for BRG activities and events, ensuring consistent and brand-aligned messaging across channels.
•    Allocate approximately 20% of responsibilities to managing and coordinating volunteer events, in partnership with BRGs and community engagement partners.


You Have

•    Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience.
•    5+ years of relevant experience in program management, employee resource groups, or related fields.
•    Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
•    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
•    Experience in planning events, supporting employee-led initiatives, and delivering process improvements.
•    Ability to work with confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and project management tools.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across levels and departments.
