Position Details:

You will bring step-change improvement in the quality and operational efficiency of the Customer information Operations (CIOP) team by upgrading our measurement systems, introduce SPC-based decision-making tools, and project managing continuous improvement efforts within the team. While this is an individual contributor role, the Sr Operations Analyst sits on the Customer Information Operations leadership team and will play a leadership role in steering the direction of the team, and will represent the team to external stakeholders and management.  This is an individual contributor and will report to Director, Customer Information Production Ops..

 

You Will:

  • Lead a Quality focused improvement effort by re-designing the Audit process.
  • Implement SPC decision making tools within the CIOP team's culture and daily operations.
  • Build out the CIOP team's analytical capabilities and provide regular reporting to CIOP team members and executive summaries to management
  • Lead cross-functional projects to drive continuous improvement in Quality and Operational Efficiency
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to support CIOP priorities
  • Develop a supply / demand planning capability for planning research capacity
  • Partner with research team leaders to provide insights to performance trends, risks, gaps, & opportunities to influence the team's priorities and focus areas.
  • Change management and key leadership voice on the CIOP team.
  • Partner with external partners across the Grainger Business Units to drive collaboration and ensure CIOP priorities align with business needs.

 

You Have:

  • 5+ years hands on experience analyzing Quality and Operational Efficiency in a scaled operation.
  • 4 Year Degree in Operations, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain
  • Experience working with SPC tools such as Control Charts, Histograms, Cause & Effect Charts, Paretos, Process Mapping, etc
  • Fluent in Microsoft excel (can perform complex functions), SQL, and Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, R, &/or Python
  • Experience managing projects
  • You adapt and understand technology and systems
