Position Details:

Design complex data sets delivering insights to inform enhanced sales coverage models that improve retention, penetration, and acquisition of targeted customers. Participate as key member of the strategy team focused on evolving Grainger's sales coverage models to stay ahead of the competition, increase profitable growth, and maintain an excellent customer experience. Role will also maintain metrics and dashboards to measure strategic projects.

 

You Will:

  • Aggregates, analyzes large disparate data sets with a high degree of quality to enable Coverage Strategy's design processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with Coverage Operations, Customer Information (CI), Corporate Analytics, Reporting & Analytics, Finance, Sales and Grainger Technology Group (GTG) to support Grainger's Coverage Strategy roadmap
  • Use several reporting and analytical tools to identify patterns, synthesize learnings and translate into actionable insights for Strategy Managers
  • Support territory design using eSpatial software
  • Collaborate with GTG, Reporting & Analytics, and CI to document processes and requirements to support the development of tools to enhance coverage standard work and help the scaling of new strategies

 

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Analytics, Math, Finance or related fields
  • Professional with 2+ years of work experience in a B2C or B2B industry
  • Strategic/ thinker grounded in analytics
  • Database management including advanced computer skills in Excel, Access, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Snowflake, SPSS, SQL, Python, R, VBA or Teradata.
  • Analytical capabilities and demonstrated work with business metrics.
  • Oral and written communication skills; ability to translate information requests into practical outputs.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, strong attention to detail, business acumen, and thoroughness in work
  • Display a continuous improvement mindset and identify ways to improve Coverage team processes
  • Display good business judgment and willingness to make decisions and recommendations.
  • Ability to take ownership of processes and propose opportunities for improvement
  • Support communications for stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate and develop relationships across multiple functional areas
  • Operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to tight schedules and budgets.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously; demonstrated collaboration skills
