This role is located in Lake Forest, IL.

Position Details:


As Sr. Supply Chain Optimization Analyst you will help develop an outstanding distribution network maintain a competitive edge by using your supply chain knowledge and supply chain network optimization skills to answer complex strategy questions. You will do this by developing Supply Chain modeling to identify service and cost improvement opportunities, and create a road map for the Optimization team. You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Network Design & Optimization.

You Will:


  • Gather data and use appropriate analytical methods, mathematical models and tools to develop flexible, scalable network models/what-if scenarios to understand, predict and improve logistics operations, architecture, flows and processes
  • Partner across different supply chain departments to identify improvement opportunities using advanced analytics and mathematical models.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and create reporting and metrics
  • Create data standards and definitions to support development of department learning and knowledge sharing repository
  • Summarize analyses to develop content and present recommendations to leadership and partners to gain agreement on priorities and investments
  • Explore new tools in the industry to support Supply Chain optimization solutions and provide expertise on applicability
  • Maintain core department processes to ensure accuracy

You Have:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Statistics, Mathematics or related fields; or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in supply chain network design or optimization, operations planning, inventory planning, transportation, and supply chain finance and analytics
  • Experience using supply chain modeling applications (e.g. Anylogistix, Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru, IBM ILOG LogicNet, Infor Network Design, JDA Supply Network Design or similar)
  • Experience with Teradata, Tableau, SPSS and familiarity with SQL and working with large datasets, including data navigation through script writing
  • Knowledge of application of Artificial Intelligence /Machine learning in supply chain design (e.g. R, Python)
