Position Details:

The Grainger technology group is looking for multiple Software Engineers to be a part of our Engineering team. They range from Senior to Lead level. You will focus on providing Grainger customers with deep insights that help them to improve their spend. You will be part of a team of data engineers, data scientists, full stack engineers, and quality engineers. You have experience designing on the public cloud, success in building products from scratch, and a foundation in software engineering.

You can be either based in either downtown Chicago or Lake Forest, Illinois or you will work remotely and will report to the Senior Manager in the Product Engineering group.



You Are:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer.
  • Experience designing on the public cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience writing and editing reusable UI components
  • Experience with a UI/Webapp framework such as React , JavaScript or Angular.
  • Proficient in Node JS or other back-end languages (e.g. Java, Python, Kotlin) and an understanding of database systems.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD delivery frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience
