Position Details

The Senior Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager reports to the VP, Human Resources DEI and Community Impact and oversees the evolution, design, and execution of Grainger's Business Resource Groups in alignment with Grainger's DEI Strategy. This person will have key responsibilities in enhancing BRG strategy development pertaining to data, metrics, programs, polices and benefits related to emerging trends.  You will work at the Lake Forest, IL headquarters 80% of the time.

 

You Will

  • Own the development of enterprise BRG strategic initiatives for Grainger's eight BRGs. Be the primary point of contact for "chapter" BRGs and subsidiaries. Ensure a consistent governance model and structure is in place to enhance the team member experience.
  • Collaborate with BRG Executive Sponsors to ensure BRG initiatives align with overall business goals and objectives.
  • Partner with DEI Learning Program Manager to oversee initiatives to promote DEI awareness, education, and professional development opportunities for Grainger team members.
  • Partner with Community Impact Leader to develop and implement community partnerships and outreach programs to support DEI initiatives.
  • Develop and track BRG metrics and report on progress toward organizational goals.

 

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience BA/BS or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in DEI program management or a related field Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • Prior HR consulting experience a plus (or another related field).
  • Ability to communicate and present/interact with senior business leader audience, and skilled in developing and maintaining relationships at various levels throughout the organization
  • Certifications in DEI or related fields (e.g., Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)) preferred.
