Position Details:

Risk Management oversees the creation, production, and management of metrics, dashboards, databases, and tools used to assess risk appetite and measure insurance program performance. Reporting to a Senior Manager of Risk, you as a Senior Analyst of Risk Management will identify systemic solutions that solve important financial and operational needs for Risk Management.

You Will:

  • Use analytics and to identify complex risk problems and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide reporting on important operational and strategic dashboard metrics across all areas of risk.
  • Be a liaison working with partners to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems.
  • Provide proactive value-added insights that help leaders establish priorities and set direction, aligning with company and department goals.
  • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements.
  • Identify the tasks, knowledge, and techniques required to determine solutions to business problems.
  • System Development –Review the current solutions used by Risk Management and important partners, identify issues, define the requirements, and suggest best possible solutions, in addition to configuration development and testing.
  • Continuous Improvement –Review current manual or workflow activities and tasks performed by people, departments, and systems, which are designed to achieve a specific outcome, while assuring data quality/integrity.
  • Understand relationships, information exchanges/handoffs, procedures and observations of work performed to achieve specific outcomes.
  • Build relationships with important partners to provide solutions to bring strategy and organizational vision to Risk Management.
  • Provide recommendations and lead discussions with leadership to understand business gaps to provide analytical solutions and implementation plans including a systemic component to reduce time spent on data mining or validating the integrity of data.
  • Document processes to build a library of solutions that can be used in the future.
  • Manage the end-to-end claim lifecycle and identify process improvements where available.

You Have:

  • Experience analyzing and reporting important business information.
  • Team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate in department and cross-departmental efforts.
  • Experience in or SQL.
  • Broad business knowledge and organizational awareness.
  • The ability to explain difficult concepts in simplified terms.
  • Influence decision-making processes without having specific authority.
