Position Details:

The CSM Reporting & Analytics team impacts a broad range of business partners across the Grainger organization.

You will contribute to the development of important metrics, dashboards, databases, and tools used to inform and build decisions across core growth drivers.

  • You will report for Customer strategy, Sales operations, Marketing, and leadership including financial performance drivers, campaign and initiative performance, strategy and planning guidance, and execution metrics.
  • Customer reporting including partnership with sales and marketing leaders to develop resources in collaboration with the Grainger Technology Group.
  • Develop analytics tools for important Grainger Business Units to promote excellence.
  • Initiative monitoring for systematically assessing leading indicators of performance for execution to goals and data-driven planning.
  • Collaborate with team members across the enterprise to adopt best practices.
  • Engage with Sr. Managers and Directors in providing reporting and analytics to influence strategic decisions.

 

You Will:

  • Produce accurate reports for internal and external partners and customers for their use in making informed decisions
  • Work with department leadership and peers to support improvement projects and system development efforts
  • Collaborate with end-users to answer questions and provide additional insight about specific reports at the appropriate level of detail
  • Correlate multiple metrics and structure data to develop and share a complete story of analysis and results
  • Manage daily maintenance of existing reports to ensure all the information is producing the intended results
  • Fix any internal reports that are not running properly
  • Simplify basic reporting processes
  • Demonstrate general understanding of important business strategies and how tools and reports support them
  • Provide analysis to identify trends, operational issues, and exceptions to improve operations and customer experience

 

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 1 or more years of experience in related field.
  • Experience with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SQL, Business Intelligence (Power BI, Tableau), Snowflake, Teradata, or other database/reporting tools
