Program Managers are responsible for the delivery of enterprise-wide, cross-functional, and multi-project initiatives also known as programs from inception through close.  They define program strategy and governance, delivery models including multi-project plans, work breakdown structures, and resource management. They manage risks and communications for the program and they create the charter for a project and ensure the end goal meets the initial success criteria.  They actively manage scope, cost, time and quality and provide ongoing updates to sponsors, portfolio/product/platform managers and key stakeholders on project health, risks and issues.

This role can be located in our Lake Forest office, or our downtown Maerchandise Mart location. 


  • Functions with the highest degree of autonomy.
  • Scope of work: Manages multiple projects within a program structure. Organizes guides and reviews the work facilitation efforts of project managers working within their programs.
  • Framework: Applies an advanced knowledge of Agile and other project and program management concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Program Planning: Reviews and consolidates all project plans developed for each project within a program, leading conflict resolution.
  • Budgeting: integrates cost baseline into overall program cost budget and actuals.  Conducts in-depth root cause analysis of project/program budget discrepancies.
  • Project/Program Resource Management: Works with IT leaders to effectively align resources across a program, proposing solutions to address resource conflicts.
  • Project Delivery Launch: Ensures all resources are accounted for and aligned to work prior to execution; facilitates discussions to ensure any resourcing gaps are addressed.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Aggregates, prepares and delivers regularly scheduled status reports.
  • Risk management: Identifies, analyzes and manages program risks and potential impacts.
  • Standards, Policies and Procedures: Assists with the development of program and project management delivery tool sets.
  • Coaching/Mentoring: Provides guidance to Project Managers.



  • A Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, management or related field.
  • 8 years Project Management experience.
  • IT service experience - ITIL
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Innate ability to build collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams: seen as a leader.
  • Best in class communication, organizational and influencing skills.
