Join the team as Manager, Collaboration where you will lead engineers with technical and business expertise with how we adopt and engineer Microsoft and industry solutions. We are passionate about enabling our user-centric Meeting, Voice, Communication and Collaboration experiences to enable our Grainger Team to stay more connected, engaged and productive. We are collaborative, innovative and fast-paced. This role will provide strategic direction for the Microsoft Office suite of tools and onsite audio visual engineering/operations. The team will drive service consumption with clear guidance on how to utilize O365 collaboration tools that make team members more productive.
What you will do:
- Lead engineering team responsible for O365 applications, including OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook Mobile
- Lead team in the creation of communications and support materials that increase adoption of O365 applications
- Assess and define solutions to business use cases
- Stay connected on new collaboration services within O365 and provide recommendations based on user needs
- Continually assess new features, functions, and applications in the O365 roadmap to determine immediate and longer-term value to employee and business needs
- Analyze and re-engineer existing processes and implement new strategies and technologies to improve productivity and uptime
- Ensure effective monitoring, timely and high-quality communication and alerting when service disruptions occur
- Continually improve productivity, service, cost of ownership, the security of collaboration tools and assets
- Work with IT and business customers to define and set service level objectives
- Track and measure utilization to increase transparency on cost/licensing models for M365 products
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years’ Engineering Experience
- 2+ years’ directly or indirectly managing teams
- Ability to mentor individuals to develop their skills enabling them to perform at their best and contribute to the success of the team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to present information both to technical and non-technical customers/stakeholders
- Experience with ITSM processes (incident, request, event, change, and problem) and tools (ServiceDesk, ServiceNow, etc)
