Position Details:

Indirect Procurement Operations supports suppliers and Grainger team members that source or purchase goods and services to run our business. The Manager Supplier Lifecycle and Contract will lead the team responsible for managing supplier onboarding, procurement system issues, supplier communications, contract entry, renewal reporting, and contract maintenance. You will manage the team through a contract management re-vamp including a new system implementation. You will report to Sr. Manager, Procurement.


You Will:

  • Lead a team of professionals responsible for daily supplier operations including supplier onboarding, maintenance, offboarding as well as contract entry, maintenance, and renewal reporting.
  • Manage and assign tasks and projects to team members and evaluate how to optimize the team and processes.
  • Review, improve document processes and standard operating procedures for Supplier Lifecycle and Contract Management
  • Develop reporting requirements and dashboards to illustrate team effectiveness and provide insights to suppliers and partners for decision-making. Capture accurate and complete supplier profile information to be used for reporting including diversity information
  • Oversee technology and process assessment and implement project for Contract Management
  • Oversee continuous improvement, implementation of process changes and measurement of the effectiveness of assigned business processes; ensure improvements are customer-focused and aligned with our strategic direction and goals.
  • Improve processes by soliciting feedback, prioritize actions, and gaining agreement with partners on evolving needs to improve quality, productivity and profitability.
  • Manage and redefine metrics as business need changes to ensure processes are in control.
  • Identify important variables that influence the workflow process and enhancing workflow optimization including new technology solutions.
  • Develop and train users on process documentation to ensure standard work processes are followed


You Have:

  • BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law or in operations and contracts
  • 5+ years of experience in business operations or transferable skills
  • 2+ years of experience leading and coaching direct or indirect team members
