Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $93,000.00 to $154,900.00.

Position Details
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Systems & Implementation, the Manager, Operational Systems & Implementation will work directly with two other Managers and one Project Manager. Team will work closely with the other Operation Engineering Teams: Design & Optimization and Projects & Automation. Ongoing career development will be encouraged and supported.
You will be responsible for planning, execution, and oversight of system implementation projects involving systems, robotics, and automation. You will also be involved with the design, testing, and implementation of the distribution center and branch business systems, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), and other relevant applications and software.
The position is hybrid requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite at either the Lake Forest, IL headquarters, Chicago Merchandise Mart office, or any United States based Grainger Distribution Center (DC). Additionally, this position is approved for relocation to the Chicagoland area.
40-50% travel is required, primarily US, potentially Canada or Mexico.

You Will
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing processes.
- Coordinate technical support and training to end-users of the business systems with key stakeholders of Grainger Technology Group (GTG), Operations Support Team (OST), and DC / Branch Operational Teams (end-users).
- Work closely with developers, system administrators, and business users to facilitate effective communication and issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes through the effective use of system enhancements.
- Ensure that systems are optimized to support business goals and enhance productivity.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures for system use and management.
- Collaborate with OST to develop and deliver training programs for system users to ensure effective utilization.
- Partner with vendors and internal technology resources to troubleshoot and correct complex systems issues.
- Gather and address user feedback to continuously improve system functionality.
- Create and maintain system configuration templates to support start-ups, enhancements and upgrades.
You Have
- BA/BS or equivalent professional expertise required. 5+ years of experience in system implementation, operational management, or related field preferred.
- Functional expertise in supply chain with demonstrated career progression and increasing responsibility.
- Experience leading large, cross-functional projects with successful outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), business requirements, Warehouse Execution Software (WES) systems, and other relevant software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in various operational systems and software, with a strong understanding of system integration.
- A skill for prioritizing business needs over departmental objectives and championing effective solutions.
- The ability to manage change, prioritize opportunities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and security standards related to operational systems.
