Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for the position is $101,300.00 to $168,900.00. This position is eligible for participating in our short-term incentive program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects the potential base pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual base pay compensation will depend, in part on factors such as geographic work location and relevant experience and skills. The anticipated compensation range described above is subject to change and the compensation ultimately paid may be higher or lower than the range described above.
Position Details
Reporting to the Assistant Treasurer, the Manager, Cash Operations will manage Grainger’s Treasury operations, primarily cash management and related investment and short-term debt activities. You will manage domestic banking relationships and provide guidance and support for international funding/repatriation and banking relationships when needed. You will provide leadership for the identification, evaluation, and implementation of new cash management products. You will drive automation of operations, deploy best-in-class treasury practices (including bank relationship management) and lead a team focused on process efficiency. The position is Hybrid requiring 2 Days per week onsite at the Lake Forest, IL Headquarters.
You Will
- Manage the activities of the Treasury Operations Team, primarily cash management; serve as the go-to resource for all things Treasury with our business partners.
- Consult and collaborate with appropriate departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, International Finance and subsidiaries on the development of or improvement to their cash management initiatives and processes.
- Ensure intercompany funding and cash movement is efficient and effective. Develop and manage funding/repatriation solutions and coordinate with other departments, including International Financial Services, Tax, Legal, and Accounting.
- Ownership of the Company Investment Policy. Ensure short term investments are within established guidelines and manage the Company’s debt/CP program.
- Identify FX exposures and initiate appropriate actions to mitigate such exposures.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate technology. Suggest and implement solutions for automation, streamlined processes and machine learning. Develop in-depth knowledge of our TMS and SAP interface, banking systems, and other ERP systems to leverage technology as effectively as possible – now and for the future.
- Lead the team to further develop best-in-class Treasury expertise with a focus on quality, accuracy, controls, fraud prevention and as always, serving our customers.
- Support bank relationship management and bank fee collection. Suggest and negotiate bank services and products and develop implementation plans and timing.
You Have
- Four-year degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Eight plus years of professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in cash management functions and processes, including payments, investments, foreign exchange and debt markets.
- CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) certification.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with the Treasury team, cross-functional business team members and external partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to balance and prioritize multiple initiatives and projects.
- Strong work ethic, team-oriented and customer-focused.
- Motivated to seek and implement process improvements.
