Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $95,000.00  to $158,400.00.

Position Details

The OST Training and Communications team provides role-specific learning experiences to over 7,600 team members and leaders building capabilities to drive operational excellence and workforce capability across the Fulfillment Network.  

 

The Learning Experience & Curriculum Design Lead is part of the Operations Support Training and Communications Team reporting to the Sr. Manager Training Design and Development. This role is a champion and expert in instructional design practices who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about designing impactful learning experiences. As a lead contributor, this role is responsible for design and development of innovative learning solutions that support strategic initiatives or core training curricula across the Branches and Distribution Centers. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to assess learning needs, improve existing and new processes, deliver scalable, measurable learning programs, and may assist in improving the fulfillment organization’s ability to manage through changes needed to move the business forward.

 

You Will

  • Leads the end-to-end design of prioritized functional learning experiences and curricula using instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile) for over 7,600 employees.
  • Defines the end-to-end learner journey (from onboarding through role proficiency) for roles within the fulfillment network, ensuring training pathways and learning experiences align with role expectations, safety standards, and operational excellence goals.
  • Conducts comprehensive needs assessments to identify performance gaps and translate business priorities into learning architecture and team member development roadmaps.
  • Establish a scalable, modular curriculum model that supports consistent yet locally adaptable learning experiences across multiple sites and markets.
  • Applies empathy-driven approaches to uncover learner needs, co-create solutions with stakeholders, and prototype learning experiences that are intuitive, relevant, and impactful.
  • Develops engaging, learner-centered learning experiences using diverse modalities including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), job aids, and performance support tools among others.
  • Applies adult learning principles, UX design, and data-driven insights to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Leverages and stay current on emerging technologies, including generative AI, to enhance learning design, automate content development, and personalize learner experiences.
  • Strengthens and promotes OST Training standards, tools, and practices to ensure learning solutions reflect leading-edge practices in both effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Leads project team including subject matter experts, training specialists, and outside vendors ensuring project quality and on time completion.
  • Leads a disciplined design process with a clear understanding of the targeted audience and their performance gaps. Conducts performance gap analysis or collaborates with business partners and program manager to leverage and refine their assessment and research.
  • Serves as a strategic advisor on learning and development initiatives and facilitates design thinking workshops and learning strategy sessions.
  • Provide thought leadership and mentorship to training specialists, ensuring design consistency and quality across all deliverables
  • Manage mid to large sized learning projects or lead workstreams within larger initiatives and ensures timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Partners with key stakeholders to evaluate learning effectiveness using Kirkpatrick’s model or similar frameworks and leverages feedback and analytics to iterate and improve learning programs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline content across programs, eliminating redundancy and maximizing reuse across branches and distribution centers
  • Leverage data from learning analytics and performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and refine pathways for continuous improvement.
  • Passion and proven ability to design and develop holistic learning experiences for warehouse and retail workforce. 

 

You Have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Adult Education, or related fields, or 7+ years of experience in related field
  • Deep expertise in adult learning including learning frameworks, methodologies, technology, best practices, emerging trends, and driving performance improvement    
  • Experience designing learning experiences that address knowledge, practice and application performance gaps and differentiation to address role-specific needs    
  • Adept at selecting and integrating a range of learning modalities including Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Camtasia and AI type solutions into design strategy    
  • Strong program/project management skills overseeing small-medium scale projects or workstreams and completing at high quality, on time and on budget    
  • Strong proficiency with use of all MS applications – Powerpoint, Excel, Forms, Word    
  • Strong collaboration skills and desire to partner closely with others.  Experience in influencing without direct authority    
  • Experience designing learning for warehouse and retail functions strongly desired    
  • Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs, championing initiatives through training content    
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus    
  • Must be able to travel within and outside the U.S.; up to 20%
