Grainger Management LLC is seeking a Lead UX Researcher in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Design, Human Factors, or related field plus 5 years related experience. Prior experience must include: Translate business needs into research questions, identify and prioritize high impact user research opportunities for digital product solutions across different stages of maturity and ambiguity; Lead end to end planning and execution of generative and evaluative research projects, including writing research plans and discussion guide, recruitment, moderation/facilitation, fieldwork, leadership presentations and vendor management; Provide expertise in various user research methodologies like contextual inquiry, concept testing, usability testing, focus groups, diary studies, observation research, workshops; Conduct research across different markets, industries, demographics, psychographics, and cultures; Build user empathy and promote value of user research among cross functional partners; Identify opportunities and guide development of AI/ML product solutions through a user perspective, highlighting user challenges with AI; Synthesize data and research findings into frameworks and actionable insights that inform the user experience, roadmaps, prioritization and strategic decisions; Provide recommendations based on a deep understanding of business context and priorities, metrics, user needs and behavior, factoring in technical effort/feasibility to inform product decisions; Present research findings and influence cross functional partners across leadership levels to build user centered solutions through strong partnerships; Mentor and guide other researchers on best practices. Up to 60% remote work allowed. Up to 25% domestic or international travel required.

 

Compensation: The anticipated base pay range for this position is $148,949.00 to $200,700.00, which reflects the potential base pay at the time of this posting. Base pay will depend on factors such as work location, relevant experience, and skills. Grainger reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion at any time, consistent with applicable law.
