Position Description

This position is responsible for the investigation of alleged criminal, ethical, or other activity that has or could have a negative impact on the Company. This includes employee or non-employee investigations involving suspicious activity against the Company and/or direct violation of Company policy. This position is responsible for conducting investigations throughout the company’s various business units. In addition, this position will work with representatives from Human Resources, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit and all Business Units to ensure the delivery of effective investigative services. 

 Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 
•    Manage multiple types of investigations (i.e. theft/fraud, white collar crime, compliance/ethics, workplace violence and litigation support).
•    Conduct investigations and ensure that all investigations/inquiries are completed in an objective manner and brought to a logical conclusion in the best interest of the company.
•    Secure physical evidence 
•    Recover lost revenue/property and present facts to law enforcement officials for criminal prosecution as required. 
•    Obtain restitution from discharged employees and acknowledged offenders.
•    Provide in-depth analysis of information developed during investigations and support the investigative efforts of others.
•    Compose investigative summaries related to significant investigations and prepare reports on behalf of Security and Loss Prevention management and/or Legal Counsel.
•    Identify and analyze loss trends for the identification of opportunities to strengthen internal processes and controls.

Position Requirements:

Preferred Education & Experience: 
•    Professional Certification (CPP, PCI, PSP, CFI) or similar professional certification is preferred.
•    Minimum of three (3) years of corporate security, law enforcement or related experience with an emphasis on investigative and interview experience and training.   
•    This position requires business, technical and functional knowledge at the experienced level. The incumbent should have knowledge of investigative techniques and processes including due diligence, fraud and pretext analysis. Behavioral interview training by John E. Reid & Associates or Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates or other such training is required.
•    Computer skills to include Windows-based software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software used by the Security and Loss Prevention department.
•    Incumbent must possess good face-to-face interpersonal skills to communicate with Security and Loss Prevention professionals and all levels of management in the Company. Additionally, this individual must demonstrate strong presentation and negotiation skills.
•    Cyber Security knowledge is considered an asset
