Infrastructure Engineers ensure that the IT infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical environment that supports the processes, physical resources, and operators required for developing, integrating, operating, and sustaining IT applications and support services. They build, test, implement, configure, tune and support the IT infrastructure in the cloud and on-premise, to include the server platforms, storage systems, middleware infrastructure, network, and client technologies. They pursue the physical design, implementation, and support of major automation solutions in a multiplatform environment, make recommendations for improvements to the usability of automated tools, and identify opportunities for increased adoption of orchestration technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, configure and maintain Hybrid IT systems
- Automation
- Scripting
- Configuration Management
- Infrastructure standards and practices
- Monitoring
- Documentation
- Interface to design our integration to our contact center systems (telephony, ACD, CRM) and other data sources, using existing or jointly-designed interfaces
- Work with partners and/or customers to gather requirements for specific integration projects
- Work with prospects and customers to communicate requirements and ensure they are met
- Design, develop, and maintain the implementation of new and existing integrations to Verint, Cisco, Rightfax, Avaya Telephony solutions
- As part of a small team engineers you will work independently with minimal supervision and management
- Become a subject matter expert on Verint ,Cisco, Rightfax, Avaya Telephony solutions
- Perform research activities on new technologies as needed to improve and evolve the Telephony Enterprise network.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- At least 3 years of professional experience including:
- Technically savvy and comfortable working with and learning new applications and telephony systems and integrated systems with Telephony
- Experience with ACD, IVR, and CTI is highly desirable
- Ability to work with vendors, trouble reports, and isolate issues to resolution
- Experience developing COM objects using events (especially in C++/C#) highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills • Strong organizational, time management and project leadership skills
- Networking skills – familiar with data networks
