Infrastructure Engineer II—Collaboration

 

Description:

Looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to develop innovative, reliable, resilient, business solutions through leveraging our collaboration environment. Infrastructure Engineers ensure that the IT infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver collaborations solutions to the business. They build, test, implement, configure, tune and support the IT infrastructure in the cloud and on-premise, to include the server platforms, storage systems, middleware infrastructure, network and client technologies. Infrastructure engineers love to solve difficult problems and embrace curiosity in the pursuit to exceed customer expectations.  They pursue the physical design, implementation, and support of collaboration solutions leveraging a multiplatform environment. Solutions are designed and built with customer and business needs in mind.

 

Key Activities:

  • Stay current in the latest technology trends for our supported collaboration products and software services to leverage new capabilities and functionality.
  • Strong advocate for organizational and people change management.
  • Create training content and facilitate training sessions to various user groups.  
  • Analyze and develop innovative solutions for complex problems with high availability and performance. 
  • Build, Configure, and Maintain Hybrid IT systems: assists with installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems. Assists with integrating services across cloud and data center.
  • Leverages established frameworks for automation and CI/CD.
  • Create and support loosely coupled systems via APIs and micro services.
  • Creates and maintains scripts to automate repetitive tasks and support automated workflows.
  • Assists in monitoring infrastructure to troubleshoot issues and ensure SLAs are being met.   
  • Document new or modified solutions for operational support.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships with various levels of the organization and acute awareness of changing customer expectations.

  • Familiarity of an Agile team environment and processes.
  • Must be an inquisitive self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Flexibility to continuous learn, adapt, and excel to new and innovate collaboration solutions to meet the needs of the business.
  • Active listening skills, with ability to present ideas in a succinct fashion to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Proficiency with the design, implementation, and support of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Hands on experience with deployment, migration, configuration, and support of core O365 services, including (but not limited to): 
    • Teams
    • OneDrive
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • Power Platform
  • Integration of multiple collaboration technologies across enterprise.
  • Other collaboration tools and application experiences a plus.
  • 3+ years IT industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Communication both verbal and written. Ability to communicate messages within the organization.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
  • PowerShell, Python and/or Java a plus.
