Position Details:

As Program Manager you will own the development, execution and governance of multiple enterprise programs and the policies that are aligned to the Indirect Procurement Organization. This role is important in ensuring strategic and tactical programs that are deployed across the Grainger Organization. A few programs you will be manage: Driver Reimbursement, expense reimbursement program, travel programs, corporate credit cards, Contract Labor program, and 3rd party warranty services. You will report to the Sr Manager, Procurement.


You Will:

  • Lead and develop a team of 2-5 in analysis and systemic thinking, innovation and continuous improvement approaches, execution of work efforts across multiple disciplines and projects, change management and communication, and customer service mindset
  • Work with Indirect Procurement and other partners to define and deliver value from programs and gain agreement around all program activities
  • Partner with program vendors to create business relationships for Grainger
  • Develop strong and effective communication plans and channels to ensure all programs are well understood and the partner experience is managed
  • Weigh decisions, recommendations, and actions against potential impact to the company to influence and provide recommendations to all partners that are effective, efficient and practical
  • Use knowledge of the business and industry to develop, improve and drive conformance to best practices


You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience across supply chain, program/project management
  • Experience leading teams
  • A mastery of project management and change management principles
  • Professional certification (PMP, CPM, CPSM, APIC's, other similar)
