Position Description


This position is responsible for the design, configuration, administration, and implementation of analytics tagging for Grainger digital web properties. The web analytics tracking and reporting solutions and environments must be designed to answer the key business questions posed by digital business units that will aid in their decision making.


- Work with development team to ensure that all tagging specs/code are properly implemented while minimizing performance impact
- Configure both analytics and marketing vendor pixel tags in a tag management system and ensure PII rigor
- Coordinate tests with QA resources
- Assist in trouble shooting analytics bugs

Position Requirements:


- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field

- 0-2 years experience using a tag management system (Adobe DTM , Google Tag Manager, Launch, Signal, Tealium, etc.)
- 2+ years experience working with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
- Experience with identifying and debugging JavaScript code using various Browsers such as Chrome Developer Tools or Firefox Debugger
- Experience implementing Jquery & AJAX Events
- Experience with tagging on mobile web platforms and native apps
- Effective written and oral communication skills
