Position Details:

The Manager, Corporate Strategy will be a key partner in developing and refining Grainger's corporate and business unit strategy. This individual will help craft Grainger's corporate roadmap and identify critical customer, competitive and macroeconomic trends impacting the business. This role will work closely with leaders across the organization on decisions that help improve our market share, profitability, and competitive advantage in a rapidly changing industry. You will report to the Director, Corporate Strategy and work directly with the VP, Corporate Strategy and Analytics and the Grainger Leadership Team (CEO and Direct reports). You will have the ability to work in office and work from home up to 3 days per week.

You Will:

• Lead and coordinate Grainger's corporate strategic planning process including corporate development and business unit strategy across segments
• Develop unbiased point-of-view on the critical issues facing our business at both the corporate or business unit level
• Engage with P&L's or functional areas on high impact strategy projects
• Bring relevant competitor and market perspective to internal leaders
• Support executive team on regular cadence of internal or external communications

You Have:

• 2 plus years of consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm, including generalist experience across multiple industries. Preferred but not required: exposure to industrials within consulting.
• Experience managing multiple high-profile assignments.
• Experience bringing structure to ambiguous problems, framing key questions and developing a work-plan to answer them.
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills and proficiency with excel (can perform complex functions)
• Experience building presentations with PowerPoint (deck writing) with messaging appropriate for audiences at all levels
